Gen2 Translator ?

Friend has a stockish GN and we are going to install a Gen2 translator on it. I know it's overkill. He has 36# inj but we need advice on which chip needed for timing control to be enabled.

Thanks. The WOT timing control completely overrides the chip timing correct?

It works with the chip, the chip can't be used without the translator. WOT timing is set by the GEN II via a signal input to the chip.

It's confusing because the G chip has this in the description. I know the Gen2 works with any chip but several features won't work and the Extreme G only works with Gen2 and my G chip says what timing is in the chip. Does it let you add additional to what you have in the Gen2?

yes, some cars launch better with more timing in low gear. so that is what that adjustment is for.
