My balancer has gone bad and it is time to get a new one. I would like to know if it is worth the money to get a high dollar one, like the B-H-J performance damper that Poston sells or would I be ok to just replace it with a stock one? My plans are to run mid 10s.

Do a search. Lots of discussion on this already. You can't go 10's with an iron balancer according to most, on an NHRA run track. Some feel that you can because it's not a balancer, but a hub on these cars, thus no 17 year old rubber in them at all. I've seen them run at my NHRA track into the 9's with the stockers, after tech specifically looked at the balancer. Some read rules is rules.
Dunno if I confused you more or not :)
