Horrible Knock

Hey guys, finally got the thing running, and boy was it fast.

12psi it was screaming with a TA 61 guts in a hotair housing, and heads, cam , exhaust.

With that being said I was dialing in the car today, and all of a sudden the car was knockinga tad at startup but seemed like nothing huge as it would go away in a second. Then when getting into it a little the car knocked hard and started showing engine oil light. So I putted home, and changed the oil.

The oil change did nothing, I know I fried some bearings or something. But has anyone else done this.

sounds like you might have spun a rod bearing.
if you drove it like that you might have wasted the crank.
i have a block the spun a bearing and the rod was actually hitting the oil passage in block for pick up tube. you will find out once you open up engine. start engine and put you hand on the valvecover ,if you feel a knock on the engine when you hear it is more thank likely the piston slaping the head or inner block like mine.
as far as your turbo who put the ta 61 together for you?
what did it take for it to fit a 84-85 housing?
