I was at the speaker store last night and listened to some of the 4x6 plate speakers that they had. They sounded very nice, went home and measured my lower carpeted non-CS door panels. They were just over 4" wide. These plate speakers have a depth of just over 2". Would it be a problem fit wise to cut out the door and door panel for these to fit? They protrude very little and have great sound compared to the dash speakers.
What do you think? I haven't seen this possibility covered before. Seems like it could look very factory.
Also, I would need to get speaker covers which it doesn't look like the usually come with them. So I would have to find out what cars 4x6 plate speakers come in and hopefully take their covers.
