My gate and solenoids are plumbed w/ heavy wall hose and ty wrapped at all the junctions. Works fine.
Did you use the Innovative gate instructions to get the plumbing routed? If so, be sure you have the pipe plug in the correct port on the sol., otherwise you have control problems.
I made a tester out of an inexpensive valve and gauge from Home depot. I hooked it up to my compressor, and w/ the gate off, I ran "boost" to the system and watched the gate move.I also was able to set the controller to a boost level, add air into the system, watch the gate start to move. This confirmed the accuracy of the controller. The builder has told me that the control is accurate +/- 1psi.
I also confirmed that the MAP sensor for the control was reading right. I found I had the plug in the wrong port, and also had the line run only to the base of the ATR gate. When I did get it right, the gate was found to be FUBAR.. Thus the INNOV gate was put on...
A BIG problem w/ the ATR gate is the way it seals,[or doesn't
] on the flange on the header. Mine had eroded the flange to a depth of 1/16"! The valve guide was also fubar.. even w/ the John Craig mods, it was not a reliable piece.
It appears to me that the gate is being fed boost on the wrong side of the diaphram, and once the level rises far enuf, it over rides the gate and dumps your boost. Solenoid pulsing at the wrong time??
