Howdy! I had a new trans put in my 1994 Bonneville SSEi. It worked fine for about a week, then, after driving it about 20 miles it started slipping so bad it wouldn't move--actually felt like it was in neutral. After cooling down it engaged fine for two laps around a small parking lot and then began slipping again--like it was losing pressure and couldn't hold the clutches against each other (?) or it was in neutral. The car had been occasionally throwing a neutral safety switch code, but it always cleared up. Then the code stayed hard when the failure occurred. We replaced the NSS--a tranie guy told us it was telling the computer to shift into neutral. Hmmm. Anyway, that didn't do any good either. When the engine/trans is cool, it engages. After warming up, it loses all gears. Que pasa?
