How do I get this cast aluminum pan to seal up?

I don't want to tighten these anymore,I think they will strip out.

It just seaps thru the cork gasket like a wick.

Do they make a rubber, or reinforced rubber gasket for this 200r4?

Thanks,

First off, ensure that it's in fact, the pan gasket leaking. These 200 4 R's can fool ya. trans fluid can run along the top of the gasket from the following spots making it appear to be the pan-gasket.

accumulator cover, dipstick seal, TV cable seal, shift rod seal, TCC electrical connector, speedometer gear housing.

I've pulled my hair out trying to correct leaks from the cast aluminum pans. I've even had the pan gasket surface re-machined flat. After total frustration, I discovered that the pan gasket wasn't leaking at all.

My tranny ( Art Carr Aluminum deep sump pan ) is dryer than a bone now that I re-sealed the above list of potential leak sources.

I do use a composite gasket however. I'm not sure of the manufacturer but it's a metal center with a cork material on each side, and can be used more than once.

Good luck !!
