Anyone have any experience with setting up injection pump timing, am helping a neighbor with his lift truck, doing a motor swap.

the old block cracked where the starter bolts on.

reinstalled new injection pump and want to know how to set the timing????

have pump mounted and need to bolt gear back on before I put water pump on.

I tried all data and it was very vage, where do I set the balancer vs the gear that turns inj. pump???

any help would be GREATLY APPERCIATED!!!!!

please give a call 941 416 7509 THANKS!!!!

I assume it is a turbo motor. If so the injector pump has to be timed to the engine via a computer.

I understand that ,was lookin for assistance in where do I set the gear on the end of the pump in relation to TDC??

Like I know how our BUICKS have a sequence to settin the cam sensor.

Thanks

I believe that all corresponds to the internal timing in the pump which requires the computer to tell you. Its been a long time since I worked on those engines but if I remember correctly the pump is internally timed and you have to use the computer to get it where it has to be. The relation to TDC is irrelevant without the timing of the pump being set properly.
