Macbook. CD and USB ports not working

Have a Macbook from 08. CD/DVD drive and both USB ports stopped working. Is there a common link?

I'd call apple support. Every time I've had a problem they overnight a box to pack the computer, you have it picked up and they get it back in a few days, if you can live without it for that long.

Bad logic board.

If you bought AppleCare, call them. If you didn't, google an authorized Apple repair shop in your area. Prepare for a high bill.
