Man,What a gig these Lasik doctors have!!

For Valentines day i paid to have Lasik eye surgery for my wife.
One eye too 16 seconds,The other 17 secs.
$3000!!!!

I mean to have your eyesite without glasses or contacts is great.

But man i am in the wrong field

They're doing them for about $500 an eye around here. Even cheaper 2 hours north in Canada. Hope that didn't ruin your day.

I had lasik done on both of mine and both of my wife's. This is one area I would NOT cheap out on!!!!! 500 an eye?? No thanks.

went for best referral, and best reputation, ( least complaints!)
$500 per eye......... I'll pass.

Lasik out here is having a state wide sale on the procedure.

Ok, I did some research and here's what I found. There are the bargain centers that will perform the surgery for $500, but only 3% of the people have a correction factor for that price. Most are over $1,000. So, I guess I got "took" I listened to the radio and thought I understood. My bad. My wife looked at it late last year and was quoted $5K. I told her to go ahead and do it but she chickened out. Now she regrets it but she's going to have to wait until next year so I can set up a pre-tax medical care account - that was my only condition on blowing the $$ for the surgery. I didn't set one up this year.
