More Boost????

I just installed a TR Custom FMIC and my boost went up from 17# to 22#. My scanmaster reading is 0 knock and 760 O2. Full tank of 116 octane. Why would my boost go up???????????

because its a more efficent intercooler and theres less pressure drop. I would imagine you take your boost readings after the intercooler....... yes?

Yes after the intercooler. I was told it would be more efficient but that I would lose a few pounds boost. So, I was wondering why it went up.

Maybe your previous IC had a boost leak?

The stock intercooler had a pressure drop of about 5.5 psi while the new FMIC may have only 1.5 psi. Take a look at Table 2 in the link.
