My Rear Tranny Mount...

...has collapsed and the new mount that we tried to install seems to be higher than the stock mount. With the new mount in place, my drive shaft comes in contact with my loop. Are the replacement mounts higher than the mounts that came as original equipment? Anyone know?

Second question. I've been plaqued by false knock lately. Will a totally collapsed rear tranny mount set up enough vibration to set off the knock sensor?

Mine was completly ripped on one side and I replaced it with Paul's poly mount and all is well. Did not have any clearence problems with drive shaft. When stock mount was ripped I did get some knock but it went away with the poly mount.

nope, some don't...

It depends on which loop you have. The loops with the "round top" work fine. The ones that are like a D do not quite fit. They were the ATR and misc others. You just have to massage it if it doesnt clear. The poly mount is the best way to go, by far......
