I replaced the module(the one that has the 4 pins that run in the
slots of the round yellow plastic piece in the steering column), the
reason I replaced it is because the keypad would not light up
when the lights were on, the controls worked the radio, but would
not light up with the instrument lights. So after spending $140 on
this part and going to all the trouble to install it, I turned on the
parking lights and the keypad lit up and I was very happy. But I
would blow a fuse about once a week while driving at night, this
is a 5amp fuse for all the dash lights and keypad on the steering
wheel. One night the fuse blew and I didn't have any more 5amp
fuses in the car, so I stuck in a 10amp fuse just so I would have
dash lights till I got home, well before I made it home the keypad
lights went out and the dash lights stayed on. When I finally put
the correct 5amp fuse back in, the keypad lights would not come
back on. Did I mess something up by using the 10amp fuse ? Is
there anything that I should check ?
Thanks
