Need a scan tool, Have some questions//

Getting ready to buy a scan / tuning tool of some sort (with Christmas gift money ). I'm not too sure what to get, I have a few mods like exhaust, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and upped boost (15psi without a scanmaster ). I have been looking into either a scanmaster 2.1, or hopefully even a power logger. I would like to tune my own car, ie. Duty loads on fuel injectors ect. which should i get.

Do i need a scanmaster to run a powerlogger?

Dose the scanmaster show anything the powerlogger doesn't? and Vice-versa

Here's some reading that should get you started. I use both. Started with scanmaster many years ago, and added the powerlogger last year.

I have both......I started with powerlogger....my reason was I didn't understand what all that stuff meant so with the PL I could save the file and email it to my buddy Phil...then he would tell me what to do to the car.....however I have a scanmaster now because I want to see whats going on ( and I've learned what all those numbers mean ) without having the laptop in the car all the time...I like having both. the pl give quicker readings and you have the ability to save the files I think its the way to go....imo - John
