87 GN with delay wipers and washer. Wipers were blowing fuses as soon as I turned them on.
I ordered a used motor cover and motor from a fellow board member. I couldn't remove my whole motor assembly without removing the fender liner, so I replaced only the cover and kept my old motor. The new cover did not have a washer motor , and my old one was shot, so I'm without one now.
The wipers come on but they raise up about 3 inches and go back down again -over and over. Like when you're using the delay function and cut off the ignition(they go down below the hood). They work on high speed only. No movement on delay or low speed.
The wiper transmission seems to be ok, and the motor is spinning well, and the nut is tight that holds the tranny to the motor. Could it have something to do with my not having a washer motor in the cover?
