1987 GN with 123,000 mile stock long block. Car has:

TA49 turbo
009 injectors
Hot wired walboro
AFPR
CAI with K&N
Larger up-pipe
Stock location stretched intercooler
3 in down pipe, no cat, 2.5 in duals
275/50/15 Nitto DRs
TT 93 oct street chip
Scanmaster
Boost Gauge
FP Gauge

Best run went like this:
60' - 2.0
1/8 ET - 8.31
1/8 MPH - 91.1
1/4 ET - 12.79
1/4 MPH - 108.4

Had a mix of E85/93/100 octane in the tank. Was running 19 psi boost with timing advanced 2 degrees in all gears from the base values in the TT 93 street chip (so I think thats 21/19), and 10% more fuel in all gears. 02 mV were in the 750s, on 1 run saw 0.5 degrees knock about midway through the run, stayed for about 2 sec. then went away.

Any comments?

BTW, I'm now addicted....

Very cool,I run 23 -24 psi 100% E85 and runs like a beast!!)O2s in low 800s ) And 0 knock.

Just put it on the car last week I was running a used TA-61 with Alky before and had to go to a smaller turbo for the E85 so I am not sure , But it pulls real nice. So far I am very happy with it but I do go through more fuel for sure. I am not much for taking the car to the track I just like to play around with it.

Nice run on low boost, time to turn it up some.:)

I'd ditch the Nitto's, they're great for the street but suck at the track. I'm considering getting MT's just for the strip so the Nitto's can get the 10-15k miles on the street and MT for 1k at the strip.

Especially the Nitto 50's, which are only 25.67" tall when new and only get shorter from there. Think about 275/60's or M/T 255/60's if you want to go faster than 112 mph in the 1/4, because doing it with nitto 50's and a stock motor is tough.

Definitely turn the boost up. There is still a second+ left in the turbo at 23-24 psi.

Yup.

MT DRs are the way to go. I get 1.50 short times on mine with a light burnout. Used to get 1.90 60 FTs on my BFG DRs. MTs hook good on the street too.

Happy spooling.

Yeah I was spinning the Nittos pretty good. Unfortunately they are pretty new - ~2k street miles and 2 track outings - so I can't really justify replacing them any time soon. I've heard they get better with use so we'll see. I was running them at 21 psi and doing nice and long smokey burnouts with my line liock. But also had 0 psi in the passenger side air bag  and also had the front sway bar in place. Do you think with pressure in the bag and the front sway bar out I got a chance at hooking? Maybe a 1.89 at least?

Also, I ran a 109.00 once but with a slower ET (slower 60 ft as well) at 19 psi boost. You don't think at ~24 psi bost I can gain more than 3 mph with the 275/50/15 tires? I have the stock gear.

I haven't got anything less than a 1.8 on the M/T with a 36mm front swaybar and 5lbs in both airbags and a just a light burnout.

Check your RPM through the traps. the Stock motors HP falls off a cliff above 5000 RPM.

109 may be easy, but 113 is a b!tch.

My car never ran over 114 mph with taller than nitto BFG 50's. When I switched to 60's it went over 118.

I just ran my car @ Martin 131 today, with a TA-49, E-85 set up.
12.31 @ 107 mph. 1.61 60ft on M/T drag radials 275-50-15. boost was at 21 psi, 0 knock 02's were around 770-780's. I drove it all the way there and ran it twice and then drove back home 50 miles. I will be selling my tires and going to the next size bigger 275-60-15's i need the extra tire height, It felt like i needed to shift into OD at the end of the track. Car weighed 3772 lbs with my big butt and tools in the car. Great run and good luck. ;)

good passes

It will get better Tony.

Im also looking to get some 275/60/15 MT DR's as i trapped 113 and it needed another gear

Weren't you able to launch the car harder with the 60's too? I thought you had said with them being taller they are harder to turn over.

nice pass for 19psi

little more tuning and boost you can run quicker
and some sticky tires
