You can. Just get the chip made with less timing, or use a thicker HG.

Or get custom pistons made.

Best yet is to use the slightly higher static CR in conjunction with a slightly hotter camshaft profile and enjoy the benefits of both, typically a 9.2-9.7 CR will like a 210-215 degree cam to get back to a 135-150 cranking pressure, good luck

Kevin.

How much higher would the compression be?

Jason

The TTA heads are 38cc thats 10cc smaller the than 8445 heads which would bump the compression to 9:1. It's actually around 8.9:1. This calculation is for a complete unmachined stock short block using the stock head gasket.

Geeez, we need to straighten this out 'cause all my thread searching showed the TTA heads to be 41cc and the 8445's to 46 cc's
