just replaced the rear main seal. Went from rope to neoprene.
after reassembly I noticed the rear of the main cap is not flush with back surface of the block.
Is this something I did not notice when I removed? or did I somehow install that assembly in the wrong position.
Not sure if that is possible. The RTV has set, but I will remove if there is a potential problem and do it again.
