Getting ready to remove tranny and was wondering is there a way to drain fluid with out removing the pan?
Mine does not have a drain plug on the pan that I can see.

I have had luck using a transfer pump from harborfreight for 7.00 right from the dipstick tube.

I found using the Mity Vac MV7201 Fluid Evacuator Plus to make the job simple and mess free.. It comes in very handy all the time

Mityvac

Description from the MityVac website:

“At the push of a button, this versatile unit changes from vacuum to pressure for evacuating or dispensing fluids. This functionality makes it ideal for draining tanks or reservoirs then pumping the used fluid back out for easy disposal. Multiple units work great, simply evacuate used fluids with one unit, and then quickly refill with new fluid from a second. For superior mobility, the 07201 utilizes a manual pump, so compressed air or electricity is not required. Accessories are included for draining engine oil or transmission fluid directly through the dipstick tubes"

leave most of the front bolts on, pry the back down with your hands just enought to drain and bolt back up.

Put a clear tube in the dip stick down into the pan. Run it to a bucket that is lower than the trans.
Create a siphon and come back the next day.

Disconnect the supply line to the cooler and start the car and pump some out.

Or run until its just stops being a steady flow and shut it off. 2 person job as someone needs to be at the cooler line holding it and watching fluid flow.

i used a large green radiator fluid container since it has a large opening and remove the rear blots and loosen the rest and pry down and drain slow
