Any reports on the Borg Warner "Hybrid" turbos?

Anybody purchased & now running one?

The very advanced BW components were being fitted in 3-bolt Garrett housings by several Turbo shops at last reports, thus the term "hybrid"

Really liked the earlierl reports on these units, including the fact

they accomplished their power potential at low boost, e.g. 20#s psi.

Any one have current information on these turbos?

Thanks for any updates.

Have not heard anything.

Other than the electric turbo they have been working on and

TITANIUM COMPRESSOR WHEELS!!!

Yes they are out already. More then a dozen units have been installed and are on GN's. The big thumpers are now out as well and being installed as we speak. You should see some results soon.

Thank you for the brief update.

Would surmise that more than a few of us have willingly postponed

doing any turbo upgrade/purchases, waiting to see/hear more data

from the "field", whether dyno, track and/or street.

Getting the patented BW ETT technology in a GN 3-bolt housing

would appear to be the choice for many, if only some outcome-based

info were being assembled & disseminated for/within the GN community.

As stated in your post,

(hopefully) this type of information

is apparently coming momentarily?

Perhaps one of the twelve GN owners running these turbos could post?

Would be nice if they posted. We have asked, but some people like to keep things to themselves. You would swear its like a secret sauce or something....lol
