I found a set of aluminum drums in pretty good shape. I wanted to make them look like they would have when new.

Anybody have some ideas or should I just paint them with some aluminum paint from Eastwoods?

ALUMINUM DRUMS

A good place to start with the drums is having them inspected for hairline cracks, IF they do have enough material left to turn them "true" again safely. (After buying & checking 7 pairs, I have 3 safe-to-use drums.)

Then, on to appearance...a gentle media-blasting by one of your local machine-shops will return them to something approximating
the original color, and you can preserve that fresh finish by a couple of thin coats of clear polyurethane...get some marked on the can for use on alloy wheels. An alternative would be a clear powdercoat.

HTH :)

Thanks

The Malibu thy came from had 29K so they should be good I hope:D
