Size wrench / socket for crank balancer bolt?

What size wrench do I need to remove the very large bolt holding the balancer on the crankshaft .... did measure it at it's slightly smaller than 28mm being European :wink: I can not figure out if I need a imperial size socket / wrench or a metric one? What size do you guys use?

I use a 28mm 6 point.

I believe that is

1 1/8 in.---around 225 ft. lbs. Muscle up!!!

Lee is right. 1 1/8 in. socket.

28mm works nicely, should be the closest @ 1.102 vs. 1.125

Thanks guys, to be on the safe side I picked up both a 28mm and a 1 1/8" socket and the 28mm turned out to be the one that fits the best and 1 1/8" is a bit "looser" ....

Important thing is I got the bolt off and could remove damper, front cover etc ...
