Snout issue

There is more going on with the balancer than just turning belts. It is an integral part of the crank that is there to help absorb vibrations in the crank and it must have a good fit to do this. Once a precision fit is compromised as in this case its all downhill, the balancer will move ever so slightly with rpm and vibration and cause the the metal to fret and wear further, the key way can crack, if it wobbles at all you will have crank trigger isues and so on. It absolutely can be repaired by a good crank shop the cost will probly be in the 100 dollar range.

Thanks for the info FBR, thats what i was wondering.
