I've seen guys weld a brace between the top and bottom of a stock mount, essentially creating a solid piece. But why wouldn't you consider a poly mount from HPartsNStuff? A pair of these mounts can handle quite a bit of horsepower.

You probably have to make your own. I removed mine as the block does not have much meat there, and did not want to trash a one with a girdle and caps.

The poly mount is one option or a mid-plate another.

The polly mounts are an option. I am only turning the crank, water and alternator. I put brand new stock mounts in and it still rocks way too much. I have a temp.tie down for right now but need too fix it right and soon. I don't think the stock mount will hold up to a 15psi launch!

Nick,
Where do I get a mid-plate??? Thanks for all the help.

The poly mounts from HrParts are excellent. I have both sides and the motor dont move. It has easily held up to 15psi launches for me.
