Surprised a Pickup Driver

Let my son[34yrs old] drive my 87 T today so he could show his lady friend what "fast" is. Pulled up to a red light next to an older Chevy pickup all jacked up loud exhaust and all the bells. The light turned green and the guy in the truck stepped on it quite hard. He jumped ahead of us so my son gave him a little boost. My son's friend was laughing so hard I thought she was going to damage my front passenger seat. Needless to say,we passed that truck like it was in reverse. I think my son and his friend like my car.
