This two turbos are pretty much the same in perfromance but the 67 has a slight bigger wheel but the T66 has BB. Is the PT67GTQ much better over the T66?

Also the T66 requires a less stall

I would not get a GTQ for a car that will be mostly street driven. For mostly a track car I would jump to a 70 GTQ

Especially on a 231 your going to need at the min a 3500stall

well, Turbonetics can recommend what they want...I don't think you would be happy with a 2800 stall converter (particularly a 12" one)

3400 9" minimum

3000 stall with a T66 ball bearing.

Scott GN1270 ran one fine for two years on his car.

One year stock motor one year ported heads and cam.

Same stall, 9" is a good idea.

3200's are easily streetable as well, no need to ever go higher with BB's. ;)

The 66BB is an awsome street turbo, as well as a mid 10 second turbo at the track, of course with the correct supporting upgrades. We use them with a 3000-3200 stall 9.5 convertor, works great with a .63 exhaust housing.

The difference in flow over the 2 turbos (67GTP and T66BB) is very slight. The 67 is much more efficient at lower boost pressures. The 67 does not need to be boosted as high as the 66 to get the same power out of it.

If you get the 67GTP, you will be able to spool it better than the 67Q with lower stall. The 67GTP is closer in comparison to the T66BB. The 67GTQ flows a lot more exhaust and will make a lot more power, but it will take more stall to get it going.

If you do not mind higher stall, the GTQ is not that bad of an option, especially considering the difference in price. If you get the 67GTP, the retail price is $755.

It is up to you in the long run.
