TA-49 vs. TE-44

whats the main difference? which one is better? and anyones thoughts on one or both of these turbos would be appreciated.

The TA49 and TE44 are essentially the same turbo. The only difference is that the TA49 uses a stock style inlet bell which in theory is slightly more restrictive. It's doubtful if you would see any measurable difference in performance between the two turbos. Either one is a good choice for a street turbo.

not enough difference to really matter (performance-wise) the TA-49 is stock appearing with a detatchable inlet bell...the '44 has a moulded in inlet bell
