I was in the middle of getting my 78 Regal ready for paint and the beat-up old 4b 3.8 finally gave-up. I was getting ready to rebuild a 3.8 SFI to put in it, but I cant afford to get the rest of what I need to covert it till spring, so my friend said I could use his 350 TPI till I get the 3.8 fixed. Its a 2 bolt main, do I need to change the brackets? I think you can only use 4 bolt mains with 3.8 brackets... right? and what fuel pump do I need to get?

Junk yard time Jase. As far as the fly wheel you can get it fairly cheap from a parts store. If it's a one piece rear main seal then get one for the last RWD Impala SS and you should be good. You can even re-use your starter off the Buick then. Get the brackets off a junk yard engine along with the pulleys.
