Thinking about a non-lock

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but I couldn't find anything with a search.

I'm thinking about a 9.5" NL because it was recommended by a well-respected board member. It would be one of Dusty's cause I hear they're the shizz. Anyhow, does anything need to be done to a stock trans in order to use this converter? The stock trans is set up to lock, so do I just unplug the TCC solenoid or what?

Ok. Thanks for the link Dusty. That answered that! I'll switch converters when it comes time to get a new transmission. Trannies scare me!

It's not as bad as it sounds. I was the same way the first time I swapped to the non lock.

Come on it's not that bad installing the valve more of a pain replacing convertor . Lol . If you need to get it done let me know.
