Throttle body cleaning

I pulled the up pipe off my GN today and the throttle body was dirty. I want to clean the throttle body without pulling it off the car. Can I use any throttle body cleaner from a local auto part store and a toothbrush to clean it? Just spray it, brush it and wipe it out with a rag, while holding the throttle plate open? Thanks for your help! Included the picture of it below!

Yes, you can. It would be way easier to pull the rest off of the manifold and clean it properly, after all, it's only four bolts

Don't you have to replace a gasket if you pull it off?

If it comes off in one piece, no. In a perfect world you would, but I've never had a problem there. Just don't tighten to hard on those aluminum threads!
