Trans Question for z28

my brother has a 94 z28.. he blew the trans on it and was wondering if a trans from a 96 z28 would work or not.. We are not sure if there is anything different from the 94 to 96.Thanks.

The 96 will have pwm(pulse width modulator) If you run a search on any of the lt1 car boards you will find easy ways to make it work. The speed sensors have differnet plugs for different years, but all you have to do is swap the tailshaft housings if they are different.
