trans shifting too early and not downshifting

i havent touched anything on my GN in years. it gets driven a couple times a year. pulled it out yesterday, washed it, and went for a drive. all was well until about the last mile when the tranny started upshifting way too early and it wouldnt downshift either. any thoughts? i checked my lines and cooler and no leaks, checked fluid and its still nice and red. tv cable looked ok. i find it hard to believe that moved on its own.

It may have moved or something broke. Check the adjustment.

cable could be broken inside the sleve or disconnected at the VB.

well, i took the car out again (two days in a row! first time in ages that happened). it drove like normal so im not sure what was up. maybe it just got a little too warm? i was putting around in traffic on a warm day and my foot was in and out of it a bit (or a lot). though id be a bit disappointed if it was a simple matter of getting too hot. trans oil runs through an f-body aluminum rad and then a b&m external cooler. guess ill see if it wigs out again the next time i drive it. i need to burn up my full tank of 92 before noble so i can put in the 112

Check tcc solenoid, sounds like its the year for bad ones....

i think we have a winner! now that i think about it, this exact thing happened about 6 years ago and a new solenoid fixed it up.
