I plan on being there on the 12th. My rings finally went after years of low 11 second passes on the stock motor, so we are installing a new motor this week. There was major leak down on three cylinders. The original head gaskets were still intact, even with hundreds of 28 psi passes on them and about a dozen 30 psi passes. I have opted for a cam, ported irons and a larger turbo. I guess I will have to change my signature :)

With the higher elevation I might have to run a few more psi.. Nick or anyone that runs speedworld. Hoe much more power are u needing to run the same et??

Not sure about how much more boost exactly as I was having issues, but it sees that you lose 2 to 3 tenths from Speedworld to Tucson!

Ok. So I will try 100 extra to be safe :)

I have not noticed a big change in ET with boosted cars. Obviously your car will be slower, but nothing like a normally aspirated car.

Last time I lost .2 from speedworld to sir. Just not sure how much power that is to make up for it. Car weighed 3344 years back without the 190 pound driver

I ran at Speedworld earlier this year right before they closed and ran 11.17. A few weeks later I ran at SIR with the same combo and ran 11.19. Others may very.

We got the new motor fired last night and broke in. It feels very strong. Heading to Tucson tomorrow to race at SIR. See you guys there.

RJ

Unfortunately, my E85 tune was way off on the new combo and I was only able to muster a 12.82 @ 102. I'm going to switch back to race gas to get it dialed in, and then back to E85 once we have an oportunity to get it dyno tuned.

On the bright side, I did meet Azrial89, buickbert, CGASTON and Gernard from Tucson. It was a pleasure meeting and talking to you guys. I'll be back next month for the American Drag Car event.

Ya get it dialed in on race gas or use the 2.0 auto tune a dial it in that way on e85. Im still running e98 at the track just because I like the cushion of higher octane with my expensive motor. Fuel is cheap.. Not needed but cheap for insurance. Whats the new build? How did nick do? Im going to the track Saturday I hope. Needed to give my Car the once over. Its been sitting almost a year

Thanks RJ... Nice to meet up with you all. We are going to have to get together again soon.

On another note... I would put the 120s and go from there.... 80s are not getting enough fuel.

Gonna try to meet up with you this weekend. Interested in seeing that hotair run. I haven't seen a fast hotair since Lee Thompson's (from Indiana) son car.

New stock shortblock with forged pistons, ported irons and intake, 208 cam. Since my stock engine ran 10.95, I am sure this one will go 10.50 - 10.60 if pushed, but I just want a dependable low 11 sec street car.

Me too. I think ill run like 14 psi on the street on e85. Maybe 16
