Turbo heat shield

Is anyone running without theres on there car? Is there any affects when not running the heat shield? I have a pt-54 and a mease 3" DP and i had to notch my shield. Now the shield rattles and i believe is giving me false knock....

Take it off

Plenty run without it. It's not necessary. Looks nice though.

thanks for the reply. I just didnt know if it would cause problems due to the high heat..

In Cali there are sometimes problems with passing smog... I know of some who have failed the visual becuase of it.

I ran without mine for awhile, and it melted the plastic tab that holds the hood insulation on.
