Trying to get my trans to shift correctly and need to know if my TV setup is correct.
I have a 78 Firebird with a th200-4R.
I have a 1978 quadrajet carb with a throttle shaft from a Monte Carlo SS quadrajet.
Should this provide the correct geometry for the TV cable?
Does the distance from the cable head to the arm attachment point matter?
I am using a throttle bracket from a TV setup from Bowtie Overdrives that was designed for a 78 Quadrajet.

Try letting it set itself. Push in on the detention and pull the cable as far back as it will go toward the fire wall. Get in the car, engine off, and slowly and firmly depress the gas pedal to the floor. The cable should ratchet out to close to where the TV should be set. Grab the throttle by hand an rotate it. You should feel a little tension from the TV cable and its bracket should flex ever so slightly. That is about whete it should be.
