Has anyone run into this problem? Underhood temps around 150 Degrees warping the plastic Master Cyl. Cover, causing intermittent leaks?
I see my brake fluid degrading, as well as leaking from the cover in the summer months. I have a 40 mile commute, heavy SoCal traffic for 75% of the time. (A/C is not optional, so its running as well!)
No matter how clean I get things, this leak comes back.
One other note: I do have a vacuum brake conversion (For the last 4 years) installed, and I do not remember this leaking taking place on long hot trips when I had the Powermaster setup. However, I did not have this commute then, either.
I will swap out the cover for a new one, maybe even fabricate a heat shield and mount it under the booster.
Anyone else have this problem before?
