Upgrading ecm question

I just picked up a 87 ecmbut with no chip. So i'm wondering would any stock 87 chip work,i have 36pph injectors? I saw on here the switch over but nobody said anything about the injectors if that matters? And if it doesn't does anybody have a 87 chip forsale. Thanks

You have to get a chip for whatever size injectors you have. http://www.turbotweakstore.com/ Best chip out there. If you dont plan on installing the MAT sensor (86/87 TR have) you can ask Eric to burn it off the chip. The smaller chip in you 85 ECM, swap that out with the new Ecm unless it was from a TR already.

So in other words the 87 ecm will plug up like stock and all youll need to do is get the TT chip to match your selected injectors right?

Oh, yes they are plug & play. It's called a calpak (the little chip in the ECM) from my above post. Is the ECM from a TR? if so you can use the one already in there if it doesn't have one. You can use the one in your ECM. You can ask around but TT CHIP is the way to go. Where did you get an 87 ECM from?

got ya i was looking at them before and they stated it did not come wit cal pak and i didnt want to sounds like a dummy and ask what it meant thanks man
