I did a search on the sizes of the wheel studs for turbo Buick and I get 2 different answers.
Shopping for arp 2 1/2 long wheel studs for my moser axles.
So which is the right size out of these 2
7/16-20 or 12mm X 1.5.
The stock length is 1 1/4 and I need 2 1/2.
If the right size is 12mmx1.5 I found this part number for arp wheel studs.
ARP 70-100-7708 W/STUDS GM 12MMX1.50 (5) .
Thanks ahead of time for your help.
Marco

I believe that they are the metric size. To check look at the end of the stock studs, if stamped M then metric.

They are metric 12-1.5 . Are yours screw in or press in studs ?
For press in you need .509" knurl on the stock axles , not sure on Moser axles . Might have to call them on that one.

They are press in Studs.
Moser sell these ones
Wheel Studs
  • 12mm-1.5 x 2-1/2''
  • .505'' Knurl
  • 10/pkg
  • 22.50$@jegs
  • Part Number: 718-8255
  • Or ARP:.509'' Knurl Wheel Studs
  • Most late GM (F-body, Vette)
  • 12mm x 1.5
  • 2.5" long
  • 5 per package
  • Part Number: 070-100-7708
  • 14.88$ for 5
  • I guess I will go with the Moser studs cause they are cheaper. But then again are the ARP more expensive cause they are tougher .

I don't think strength will be an issue, the knurl size is important though. I would get what Moser sells for their axles .

Just to add to information already provided for those who have stepped up to Moser axles, apparently for stock axles, the 2" long studs offered by Dorman #610-323, the knurl size is 0.503937, so I would assume, the Moser 2.5" long studs, sold at Jeg's and Summit with the .505 knurl, would fit on stock TR axles.
