i have my motor out of my car and i want to put rings in it . i dont have alot of money right now to put in the block . would new rings seat right if i put them in there or should i just leave the old ones in there and hope for the best . i just do want it to smoke when im driving it

hard to say cause we dont know how they were sealing before

if you dont know then you might wanna change them but its a gamble cause the block must be honed correctly to get them to seat right or they will be worse off than the riginal ones.

save a few $ and get some total seals (aroud $170) and have the block honed for them and then you wont have to worry about blowby.
