In these tough economic times, Craigslist is the root of all evil for the short of attention! I couldn't resist viewing and eventually buying this list gem; an '84 Toyota SR-5 extended cab 4x4.
The good;
-86 GN engine already installed, mated to the Toyota 5 speed manual through an adaptive alluminum bellhousing.
-It has tilt wheel
-33x12.50 tires
-Cool sunvisor over the windshield
-No visible holes in the block and there's no milkshake.
-Solid front axle.
-Looks complete minus intercooler.
-Traction won't be an issue.
The bad;
-It ran at some point once in the truck, but no longer.
-Mud treads in the rear are bald (this could be good...I guess).
-It was run with no intercooler (rubber 90 from turbo to TB).
-The installers welding and wiring skills weren't their forte.
-One more thing to take up the time, space and money I don't seem to have anymore:smile:
