    Governor Springs ?

    Added a washer under the spring. It's not the ideal way as it increases shift points at PT too & it will kickdown higher too. My CQ VB shifts WOT at 63-6400.

    It doesn't need high temp paint, regular Rustoleum is fine.

    Have you tried running the rpm up to about 1500 to see if it's better?

    I tried that once just to see what it would do, didn't work very good. Went to about 7500 & didn't shift out of 1st.

    When you shimmed the TV limit did the PT shift points go pretty high? I did my CQ to shift at 6400 & PT is pretty high & detent is sensitive.
