Thanks - the shaker was/is definitely my favorite mod appearance/novelty wise, but swapping in the 5-speed made the car fun to drive again. I never drove standard until I bought a 5-speed Saturn a few years ago - when that 85hp 4-banger became more fun to drive, I knew I had to convert the Monte.

Correct - low and high work automatically off of separate temp switches. Both A/C and the manual switch will force it to high speed regardless of any other inputs.
