    Rebuilding turbo

    So unless the wheel blades are beat up, just putting a bearing kit in it should do the trick. I have mechanical ability, tools, dial indicator, etc. to do the job. I am just wondering at what point would you purchase the cartridge or center rotating assembly instead of just replacing the wear parts.

    I've been a lurker for a good while here and have learned a lot from you guys. My stock 87 turbo has a little shaft wear that has allowed the blades to touch the housing on the intake side. There is just a slight line showing where it has rubbed but the blades look good. Have I caught this soon...
