Was in the process of conducting an '85 to '86-'87 ECM conversion, when my car completely broke down. I drove it all the way up to Jacksonville, NC from Florida when it made a loud clanking sound and started smoking from under the hood a few weeks later when I went to turn it over. From what the mechanic at a hot rod shop told me, the waste gate had been broken and a hole in the intake all contributed to the final destruction of my baby
I'm taking the engine out and possibly doing a rebuilt once I find out how far gone it is, however, it's going to be a while before I can get back in the swing of things
