    Correct Evaporator

Thanks GNX026. I will give Napa a try. Mine is holding vacuum but I had a orifice tube get stuck in it a while back and thought that I may change it out while working on other things.

    Correct Evaporator

After speaking to Highway Stars, it looks like there is no alternative. If anyone comes up with anything please let me know.

    Correct Evaporator

Does anyone know of the correct part number for a replacement evaporator on 86 Grand National. Doesn't seem that Highway Stars or any other Vendor carry them anymore. Parts houses have several different #'s and wanted to know if anyone knows which one fits correctly.

    Old timer, new chip

Low mileage car that has started running poor. Nothing major but poor idle and seems to have a miss. After years of testing crank sensors, cam sensors, o2 sensors, plugs, wires, coil packs, testing injectors, valve seats, mass air flow, ECM, ign module, tps, and iac, I broke down and bought 60...

What is a Grand National Go Kart Worth?

This is the coolest thing ever. A friend found this in an abandoned storage building( Yes, just like Storage Wars) and gave it to me because he knew that I had an original Grand National. It was body(in primer) and frame only. So we put a motor and some wheels on it. A quick paint job and new...

    Rear End Problems

I started to feel it awhile ago and remembered the additive trick. Had a 1980 Trans Am in high sshool that this happened to. So changed oil and added GM additive and it got a little better but I probably didn't put but 100 miles on it and yes now it has been put up for about 6 months or so...

    Rear End Problems

I have a stock 86 GN with 88,000 miles on it. I am having a very odd noise and feeling coming from the rear end. It feels like the rear end is trying to grab when I am backing up. Going forward everything seems to be fine. It makes a clucking sound on occasion and feels like the posi-trac is...

    o2 Readings

Thanks, So when I first crank it up they stay pretty steady but after it reaches temperature they start to jump. Also, while I have you, the car has never idled great almost like a dead miss, runs awesome but not idle, is this normal after very mild mods.

    Oxygen Sensor Removal

Was wondering if there is a particular chip that you would suggest. All that is done is a K & N filter, Fuel Pump Wiring Kit, Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator and Adjustable Wastegate. Running great all around and I am not interested in running in the 11's any time soon. Just clean up the...

    Oxygen Sensor Removal

This is my first post so please bare with me. I have owned my 1986 Grand National for over 20 years and maintain it as needed but it is mainly stock. I took it to a friend who has an alignment shop to have all new bushings put in the under carriage. He noticed that it had a slight miss to it...
