This is a new one for me! Need to change speedo gears in a 200C trans, where and how do both gears go? What is involved? Went from a 2.41 gear to 3.42, the GM parts guy set me up with the two plastic gears that need to be changed! Does the trans have to be pulled to do the change? Some day...

Reply to Help! Only thing I can tell you is you have the older 231 V-6 "odd" fire. This engine used the 8 tower cap and disabled 2 to run!

Tranny is a 200 Metric, recently rebuilt with a 1500 RPM stall speed. Rear gear is still 2.51, looking for something bigger. Have a 3.73, this seems steep. Going to check salvage yards for gear from a S-10 or F-Body. These do work, right?
