Should I do it?
If it has a 235 six cylinder and a powerglide you should still trade him as long as the chevelle is a two door.- CSmith

Unfortunately it sounds like an internal problem now. Either it isn't building enough pressure or it's bleeding around an internal seal.- CSmith

Pull the governor out of the transmission case and check to see if the plastic gear has "apple cored".- CSmith

Check to make sure you are getting vacuum to the modulator on the transmission. A lack of vacuum will make it shift late and hard.- CSmith
