    Amazing 1986 Grand National

I think this sold but for the future searches.. 1986 = 5,512 made 1987 = 20,193 made Yet the 86s don't command the same resale, maybe because the last production year is so branded in how people think about the car, they know 87. 🤔

    red armstrong type volt booster

If you get the Caspers upgraded alt to battery wiring kit, you'll see real voltage from a good alternator and not really need all this. I'm 13.9-14.5v all the time and usually 14.2v often.

    red armstrong type volt booster

Caspers Electronics is the only one left that's new and bumps volts that I can think of. Or Powermaster XS alternator but that's not very stable and if you ever run a Lithium battery you better ditch that alt, not predictable at all.

    Help with 2 separate leaks

Don't remove it, just spray it up with whatever you like and wipe it, you're just looking for new oil marks to confirm it's leaking or not after you run it when clean. There's pastes that mechanics have used on my cars but they are a bitch to loosen so it's a double edged sword there. Once...

    Hoosier DR3 ?

Frank at Hoosier said DR3, 295/55/15 has been an approved size and is coming soon. New compound, best yet and they're not recommending any wet driving, it's pretty much their version of the MT Radial Pro I guess. Summit is not accurate here. DR2 = 275/60/15 = 12.7" section (MT SS 11.1") DR2 =...

    Help with 2 separate leaks

Hope your passenger wheel leak isn't a brake line. Check brake reservoir, then you might need to pull the wheel and have someone hit the brake while you check the line as complete as you can see. Turbo feed line starts at brass block on the engine, then runs up to the turbo so this one you'll...

    Hoosier DR3 ?

These look great, glad you posted. I was about to get the DR2s soon but now that I saw your post, DR3s for sure. But they currently only come in 275/60/15. If they offered 295/55/15 I'd snag DR3s soon (for my GTO) and hit this thread back. These look promising since Street R doesn't come in...

    Another Oil Question

Go to 3:30 in the Beatav8 video and those 15 seconds tell you the goods. Lower calcium, no more sodium, ZDDP gets to do it's thing better now. Been a long time user, 20w-50 (GTO), 10w-30 (GN) this oil looks rough at 1000k miles so I change it often, also ethanol is making it past the rings so...

    Looking for HID lights

Mark sells a kit, GN vendor and has them in his GN so he can answer your questions. Hard to beat that, I would've gone this route but I did mine before these were released. http://buickgn.com/LED%20Headlights.htm

    Back fire

Any details on the MS3 would help, install pics etc. So no MS3 and the car acts like a rev limiter at 2k rpm, with MS3 on the car it's now fine? Someone on here has to have some experience with this combo so just give us as much detail on the parts, age, pics and log data and there's a...

    Back fire

When you say Spark Gap most of us will think Pic 1. You might mean your spark advance is jumping from 25 degrees to 50? 50 degrees is higher than necessary for the car during cruise, 44 is plenty during the low load rpm cruise. 50 degrees can create a bucking feel from over advance. You...

Gas tank sump or in tank PU

Real stock tank is a dog dish baffle and the aftermarket tanks aren't all the same so watch out there. Ricks Hot Rod tanks are internal baffled if you wanna go the SS route. Don't see many new moded sumped stock tanks these days because internal pumps are getting bigger and bigger with...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

"Have you searched for 109 or any 80s 3.8L engine parts lately?" I've found every part for along with my 109 I've needed, can't think of any new part for a 109 I couldn't find since 1997. That's one of the great things about our platform, new parts are available. If you're referring to only...

Antigravity Lithium Battery Vs Dry Cell, Fast Starts, Low Weight, Log Pic

I've been chasing embarrassing starts on the new engine for years, Steve D notices the battery volts during cranking are brutally low. I swapped to this Lithium battery and problems solved, insta-starts, my six figure car no longer starts like a $6 car. It was hit or miss sometimes, really...
