How to remove governor?
Just a thought...why would a governor allow the engine to rev to 5500 in first gear but not second gear? I have never hooked up a gauge to the trans to read the pressure, but maybe the trans is not putting out enough pressure for it to hold gears. But, if a trans has low pressure, would I...- JJMonteSS

How to remove governor?
I am very happy with my 1-2 shift. I would like the 2-3 and 3-4 to match it. I was thinking about swapping in the Monte Carlo SS governor from my old trans instead of modifying the current one.- JJMonteSS

How to remove governor?
I just installed an Art Carr 200-4R (Texas Art Carr) this year in my '85 Monte Carlo SS (Vortec 350) and am unhappy with the WOT shift points. First gear is great, shifts at 5500, but the 2-3 and 3-4 shift at 4800. I have to shift manually to redline the engine. I don't mind this when I'm...- JJMonteSS
