I have just gone through your thread for this build. I just realized that this is a TWO YEAR and counting project!! I have been waiting to build my car as I am saving money so I can get it done as fast as time will allow me, without money being an issue. You are obviously doing a lot of work...
Sorry for the ridiculous late post, but I just found this thread. Great find! Great work! I will need a rear main seal done, and I cannot find anyone in NJ to do it, so I am likely going to make a phone call to Jim Dunn this spring.
I live in Union County as well.
I drive down Michigan fairly often, and I haven't seen a shingle for Ron's. I called the number about a year ago, and got a number no longer in service message. I am trying to hunt down Merkel, but so far cannot find him either. I'll post again if I do find them...
Actually, good points. Highest probability the stock injectors are not functioning appropriately, and the fuel chemistry has definitely changed. Well said.
Thank you
I have not noticed any black smoke out the tailpipe. I have to charge my battery for the first start this year, likely later this week. I will be looking.
And would putting a set of 60's on a stock motor be overkill?...OK OK OK...no such thing. Lol. I agree, but for now, a replacement set of...

I chose to replace the O2 with a Denso unit. It was not Bosch, as most of what I have read indicates that people have more trouble with them than they are worth, and I heard there were issues...
While that thought (as well as several others) have crossed my mind, I am trying to minimize the upgrades until I can get it running and idling properly (and until my budget expands for the car). The engine is bone stock, and the odometer reads a little over 27k miles (both Carfax and Autocheck...
Hey everybody.
I am in the process of diagnosing why I have gasoline in my oil. I have gone through 3 oil changes as I do not want the oil thinned out and have my engine and turbo damaged. The idle is also rough and inconsistent (i.e. idles high, then low/normal, then back to high).
Anybody...
Car looks stunningly beautiful!! Fantastic work!
For the interior, whose interior products did you use for the seats?
I have been searching for a rear seat upper to replace mine until I recover my seats, but I might just recover them sooner than I wanted to.
Thanks for your time and effort!
Curious which speakers you ordered?
You do or not have concert sound?
I am in the process of choosing my stereo components to replace the factory system.
